Finding Perspective in Historical Fiction “Learning from the past to build a better future”

Sarah Ward November 9 - 9:30 am

When we face tragedy or even difficult moments our instincts tell us to become protective of ourselves and our family, keeping others out and yet our history shows us that those who survive with strength and determination are those that are open to receiving the love and support from their community. We will explore connection as the path through challenges.

Sarah Ward is an author, a yoga instructor and a social worker. She is currently working on a historical fiction novel that takes place in her home town of Piermont, NH. Journeying into the past has helped Sarah see many of the strengths of her home town that she overlooked as a child of the 70’s and 80’s. The value of community when tragedy strikes and the dedication of family/people to persevere regardless of natural and human made disasters.
