Reaching out to others requires a set of skills that we can learn and practice just like any other life skill. It also takes courage. In this time of ever-increasing division in our country, what are some of the practical ways we are reaching out to make meaningful connections that foster community?
Rev. Austin Hornyak joins us from Shelburne, Vermont. He attended Duke Divinity School and has served United Methodist congregations in North Carolina and his native western Pennsylvania. For the past twelve years, he has worked in human services supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in the region. Rev. Hornyak enjoys spending time with his partner Yasamin, her daughter, and their cat (Quinn). His hobbies include hiking, reading, and doing New York Times crossword puzzles.
